Mother Tracker is a music recognition app inspired by Quentin Tarantino’s bold, unapologetic voice and distinctive cinematic taste. Rather than simply identifying songs, the app delivers a clear, subjective judgment- labeling each track as either a “banger” or “sucks,” alongside a cinematic rating. Fixed, curated playlists reflect a high standard of taste, creating an experience that challenges users instead of adapting to them.

This concept stems from my fascination with Tarantino’s uncompromising approach to creativity and his deep connection to music as a narrative tool. I was drawn to the idea of translating his perspective into a digital product- one that doesn’t aim to please, but to provoke, critique, and define taste. Through Mother Tracker, music discovery becomes more than functional; it becomes a bold, character-driven experience shaped by attitude, storytelling, and a strong point of view.
